HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO

A true Los Angeles hidden gem. To anyone who visited this little street of Olvera, we could agree on one thing, this place gives you a taste of Mexico.

The hidden street is located near Union Station. You wouldn't miss it because of the colorful shops in the area. A memory-hoarder like me won't leave this place without getting anything from these shops. I got a cross marble necklace and a white dream-catcher, everything for $8.
It was very festive on that day, spanish music, maracas, cocktails, colorful costumes and people dancing. For me, this day gave me a glimpse of Mexican culture. It's very interesting to know small things about a country and it's people.

We also went to the 27th floor of the Los Angeles City Hall, another hidden gem in LA. So if you want to get an aerial view of downtown, then try to visit the top of the city hall. It's not too high but hey, it's free!
